Tuhura, Futuristic Superyacht Adopted the Design of a Canoe by Oceanco

Revealed at the Dubai International Boat Show, Oceanco introduced its latest project, the 377-foot Tuhura, a futuristic superyacht that adopted the design of a canoe. The exterior and interior of this superyacht is designed with very attractive and unconventional. In addition to featuring a unique exterior and elegant interior, Tuhura superyacht is also supported with the latest technology and satisfactory performance.

The exterior of this superyacht is done by Lobanov Design Studio, which takes inspiration from the earliest canoe form. While the interior design is done by Italian architect, Achille Salvagni, which offers elegant designs with teakwood polish that almost dominates the entire interior such as on walls, floors, and ceilings.

Oceanco also pinned a variety of new technologies in the development of this superyacht such as the use of a new glass technology that consists of a series of dots applied to the horizontal windows across the hull. This technology is able to create a transparent outlook, otherwise when viewed from the outside would not be able to tell the glass from the hull, as the colors are identical.

Another new technology used by Tuhura superyacht is the artificial intelligence system to give preference to passengers regarding entertainment systems and room temperature and then adjust it automatically. In addition, the passengers are also spoiled with a 360-degree space that offers interactive design with touchscreen connectivity.

The superyacht’s design can be scaled because of the simplicity of the canoe form. With an efficient hull shape, it allows Tuhura superyacht to have excellent maneuverability, low overall resistance, and good seakeeping.
