The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Embraer Executive Jets has achieved US certification for the Legacy 450 mid light jet. This jet has also received certification by European and Brazilian authorities. Embraer Legacy 450 Business Jet is the first jet in its class with full fly by wire technology and sidestick flight controls.
The Embraer Legacy 450 Business Jet brings technology the digital control system that gives a smooth flight and better performance, thus reducing pilot workload. This jet can accommodate nine passengers in a comfortable flat floored cabin.
The Embraer Legacy 450 first flew has a cruising of 540 mph and a range of up to 2,963 miles. This aircraft first flew in early 2014. This jet is capable of achieving long nonstop flights between Boston and Los Angeles or Moscow and New Delhi. Due to the support of two fuel efficient Honeywell HTF7500E jet engines.
The cockpit of the jet is equipped with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics suite with four 15 inch, high resolution displays, synthetic vision, and an optional head up display.
Although based in Brazil, Embraer operate its facilities in Melbourne. The facility will operate assembly, delivery, and servicing of all Legacy aircraft in the US market, including the 12 passenger Legacy 500. The Legacy 450 is priced from around $ 16.57 million.
