The residence that combines medieval and modern design is a remodel home designed by Klopf Architecture. The remodel home is located in Palo Alto, California. In redesigning this residence, the Architect created a more open and functional space, with smooth connection between indoor and outdoor.
Living room, dining area, and kitchen apply open layout. Fully glazed wall allows the living room to be connected to an outdoor area. From the dining area and kitchen there is a large sliding glass door that leads to the backyard relax area. The living room is simply decorated with gray sofas, white furry carpets, and accents from wall shelves.
The dining area uses a dining table and one long wooden chair plus three simple chairs. The kitchen looks clean and tidy with white domination and white kitchen island. The bedroom is very laconic by only placing some furniture such as mattress and cabinet. From the bedroom fitted with glass door that connects to the outside.
The Backyard lounging area is set up comfortably equipped with wicker furniture, a concrete bench, and an umbrella. The exterior of the house updated becomes more friendly by applying modern front facade and the dominance of gray colors on the entire exterior of the building surrounded by wooden fences.
