Eco friendly house located in Griya Loka, Serpong in a suburb area near Jakarta, Indonesia is designed by Atelier Riri and completed in 2014. This house has a good connection with the surrounding environment. The design of this house is oriented to natural resources for lighting and ventilation.
Architects use natural and green materials such as bricks, Gain Reinforced Cement, and metal recycling to create a contemporary new design. This eco-friendly house has an area of 3,444 square feet of living space.
The inside of the house is well designed to create a flow of circulation between spaces. A series of ventilation is provided from the hole pattern inserted in several areas of the building. In the public area there is an indoor pool that also serves to lower the area temperature.
The architect also designed a roof garden that serves as an open area for outdoor activities. While private areas and socialization such as bedroom, work space, and living room are on the second floor.
