The technologically savvy Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days (Ref. 5101), considered the flagship of the Portofino family, is powered by the new IWC-manufactured movement from the 50000-calibre family. Measuring 37.8-millimetres, the 59210 calibre is the same size as pocket watch movement.

The contemporary elegance of the Hand-Wound Eight Days is exemplified through dedication to the classic Portofino style with a smooth, circular case, flowing strap horns and simple dial design. Meeting the demands of the modern world citizen, the watch runs on a power reserve of 192 hours (8 days). The red gold Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days comes with a slate-coloured dial with indices made of solid red gold. There are also two steel models with either a black or silver-plated dial.

With continuous touches of true Italian taste throughout each new addition to the Portofino line, the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days is offered with new leather straps created by luxury Italian shoe manufacturer Santoni. Available in brown and black, the straps undergo a complex process that beautifully creates brand-new leather to look and feel like a classic treasure.
